To succeed with SEO, you not only have to focus on your site itself, but you also have to be aware of off page optimization as well. When you first start out with SEO, this may confuse you, but it's not really that complicated once you get started. You can improve your site's off page SEO by keeping the following guidelines in mind.
Backlinks are the number one off page factor you have to be aware of if you want your site to be optimized for the search engines. If no other sites are linked to yours, this will make it almost impossible for you to get ranked by the search engines. Whatever niche you may be in, look up the number of backlinks your competitors have, and you'll find that those who rank the highest tend to have the most links. The best way to build backlinks is gradually, so make this a daily task and build up the number of links you have over time. Getting backlinks to your site from quality sources is the most critical off page SEO tactic of all.
If you want the search engines to rank your site, you also have to make sure you have a complete site map that has your primary keywords. In order for your site to rank well, the search engines have to be able to read all of your site's pages easily, so having a site map properly set up is crucial. The site map makes your site's contents clearly visible to the search engines so nothing is overlooked. If your site doesn't yet have a site map, you should definitely create one as soon as possible. One issue that's sometimes debated in SEO circles is how large a website should be. On the one hand, with a larger site you have more pages and content to rank for, yet many site owners who know what they're doing also manage to rank their small sites highly too.
Every niche, and even every site is a little different, so you should do some experimenting of your own. In some cases you may do fine with a small site, but if you find that you can't rank highly this way, then you can always add more content and pages to it. By experimenting, you can find out for sure what works for you.
The final factor we'll be exploring is the traffic that comes to your pages, which is something that the search engines observe when ranking your site. Your site's importance can be partly judged by how many unique visitors it gets every day, so the search engines watch this. The fact that visitors are coming to your site is important, though they have to be actual visitors rather than clicks you get from bots, and the length of time visitors stay on your pages is also relevant. That's why you have to consider all of this if you want your site's ranking to improve.
The off page SEO techniques we've explored in this article can make a big difference in how the search engines view your site, so pay careful attention to them. There are no magical solutions when it comes to SEO, as success comes to those who regularly apply the fundamentals. 3 Simple Backlinks For Better Rankings
Now, we all know the benefits of inbound links for top search engine rankings. Unfortunately, acquiring inbound links can be very time consuming and/or expensive and on top of that it can take months or even years to get high rankings for highly competitive keywords.
However, in order to make some cash on the internet you don't necessarily have to rank for highly competitive one-word or two-word keyword phrases. It is true, those kinds of keywords usually create huge amounts of traffic - once you rank for them - but on the other hand, they don't convert very well into sales.
That's why I prefer to focus on long-tail keywords with low competition and good buyer intent. Those keywords don't drive that much traffic, but they are likely to show incredible conversion rates and most of them are quite easy to rank for.
Trying to rank for a highly competitive term like "SEO" will almost certainly take you years and plenty of hard work. However, if you focus on a keyword with low competition, such as "Go Click Cash" you should be able to get into Google's top 10 within a few weeks.
The more words your keyword phrase includes, the faster and easier it will be to rank for. So, if you choose a keyword like: "Go Click Cash Bonus" it could even happen that you get a top 10 ranking within one week.
If you want to rank for highly competitive keywords, you will need a lot of high-quality inbound links. When I try to rank for long-tail keywords I usually only focus on quick and easy backlinks, so-called low quality backlinks.
Here are the 3 link types I use for all of my long-tail keywords:
* Article submission with one or two inbound links in the body text or resource box.
* Backlinks from the top 15-20 social bookmarking sites.
* Forum profile backlinks from 40-50 forums that are related to my niche.
The big advantage of those link types is that they are fairly fast and easy to build. And the link building process for all those links can be entirely automated using a variety of software tools.
Now, these so-called low quality backlinks would never allow you to rank for highly competitive terms, but they usually work very well for long-tail keywords with low competition.

Headway Themes: Lack of Coding Skills Holding Your Blog Back
This article is for home based business owners and network marketers who use WordPress blogs as their primary means of business building-but who lack HTML, CSS, or PHP skills. With so much riding on your blog you really want your blog to stand out from the crowd. To be sure standing out is as much a matter of being visible in the search engine results pages as it is a matter of having a clean and aesthetically pleasing blog layout.
But unless you pay someone to customize your WordPress blog for you these are exactly the things that you miss out on as a business blogger who lacks coding skills. As a home based business professional myself I know how important it is to have a blog that gets the job done. I also know how difficult it is to try building a blog without having any web design know-how. My lack of CSS and PHP knowledge led to me pouring tons of dollars into custom blog design work that never gave back anything in return.
Fortunately, my lack of blog design experience no longer gets in the way of growing my online business because I've found a solution. That solution is called Headway Themes. Headway Themes is a premium third-party WordPress template platform that allows non-coders to customize the look and feel of their WordPress blogs using a drag and drop interface. So let's take a look at how Headway Themes is helping me to grow my online web presence through customizing and developing my blog-even though I lack coding experience.
One of the things that I had a difficult time doing before purchasing the Headway Themes license was customizing my blog's appearance. Headway has made it possible for me to completely alter my blog's layout using Headway's drag and drop design editor. Drag and drop design means that instead of having to move the placement of one or all of my blog elements by using CSS I can simply point my mouse cursor to the item that I want to move or resize and drag that element with my mouse until the revised version suits my liking. Elements that Headway allows you to change or adjust using this drag and drop functionality include your header, footer, side bars, navigation, blog content, and more. Being able to change so many elements according to your preference is what allows you as a Headway Themes license holder to give your blog a look that's totally different from all of the other blogs in your niche that you compete against.
